Reconstructive Urology

Our reconstructive urology treatments focus on restoring function and relieving discomfort caused by structural issues, adhesions, or cysts in the urinary or reproductive systems. Using advanced techniques, we aim to provide effective, minimally invasive care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Reconstructive Procedures

Reconstructive procedures address structural issues in the urinary or reproductive systems caused by strictures, adhesions, or vascular abnormalities. These treatments aim to restore function, alleviate discomfort, & improve overall quality of life using advanced surgical techniques tailored to each patient’s needs.

Tumor and Cyst RemovaL

Tumor and cyst removal procedures are designed to treat abnormal growths in the bladder, epididymis, or other urological structures. These minimally invasive treatments focus on accurate diagnosis and precise removal to relieve symptoms, prevent complications, and ensure optimal recovery.

Reconstructive Procedures

  • Urethroplasty is a surgical procedure to treat urethral strictures by reconstructing or enlarging the urethra. This can involve removing the narrowed section and reconnecting healthy tissue (primary anastomosis) or using a graft from the inner cheek or other areas to widen the urethra.

    Benefits:

    • Definitive Treatment: Offers a long-term solution for urethral strictures.

    • Improves Urinary Flow: Restores normal urine flow and relieves discomfort.

  • Varicocelectomy treats varicoceles, or enlarged veins in the scrotum, that can cause pain or fertility issues. This outpatient procedure involves tying off or removing the affected veins to improve blood flow.

    Benefits:

    • Pain Relief: Reduces discomfort associated with varicoceles.

    • Fertility Improvement: May enhance sperm production and overall fertility.

  • Lysis of adhesions is performed to separate adhesions that restrict movement or function, commonly in uncircumcised males with foreskin adhesions. This procedure restores normal function and prevents further complications.

    Benefits:

    • Restores Function: Improves mobility and resolves issues related to adhesions.

    • Minimally Invasive: Performed with minimal disruption to surrounding tissues.

Tumor and Cyst RemovaL

  • This procedure uses a cystoscope to visually examine the bladder and remove small tissue samples for analysis. It is often performed to investigate and treat suspicious growths in the bladder.

    Benefits:

    • Accurate Diagnosis: Provides detailed information about bladder health.

    • Targeted Treatment: Removes and analyzes abnormal tissue for early intervention.

  • This procedure removes benign, fluid-filled cysts from the epididymis, a structure at the back of the testicle. The surgery is recommended when the cyst causes discomfort or other complications.

    Benefits:

    • Relieves Pain: Alleviates discomfort caused by large or problematic cysts.

    • Preserves Function: Removes the cyst while maintaining the integrity of the epididymis.
